This has been a week full of blessings at our school.
On Wednesday, Robbie Stewart was awarded 1st place in the Serra Club Vocations Essay Contest. Mrs. Gregg, Mr. Bissett, and Ms. Fuchs ( Robbie's grandparents), Mr. Swygart and I were fortunate to be able to join him in Indianapolis to help celebrate. He received a plaque and a check for $100. (See school assignments can have more benefit than just knowledge and a sense of self accomplishment sometimes!!)
On Tuesday, Jayce O'Neal received First Reconciliation and then on Thursday, he was officially welcomed into the Church as he received his First Communion at the daily Mass. His classmates and the entire school were able to witness and celebrate with him. I applaud his courage to take this step in his faith journey.
We are in the process of planning Field Day. A paper went home today asking for help. If you are available on May 20, we would LOVE to have you join us. There are many opportunities and positions to fill.
Remember, if you want to be part of the Teacher Appreciation Week planning, there is a meeting on Wed, April 24 at 1:45 in the school office.

ATTENTION ALL 8TH GRADERS!!! STEUBENVILLE BREAKFAST APRIIL 14TH
The annual Steubenville Breakfast Fundraiser will be held at St. Anthony in Schad Hall on April 14th. This is a very important fundraiser for some of our
families who are unable to afford the full cost of the conference and/or transportation and other expenses. Please consider helping in any and all ways you are able. There are several shifts to help you work around Mass times. If you plan to be there all day, please remember to check all the time slots (and get to Mass on Saturday!). If you cannot be at the breakfast on April 14th, consider bringing some of the grocery items or baked goods, or better yet, donate some cash to go toward expenses. Food items can be dropped off at Schad Hall Friday evening from 5p-6p, Saturday evening 3:30p-5:30p, or Sunday morning before 6:30a. Refrigerated items should be put in refrigerator with sliding door in kitchen.
